Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyshadow Palette Review

Hello everyone!!

I am really excited to share with everyone my thoughts on one of the best palettes I have found till date! I love warm toned sunset themed colors for my eyelids and the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette had the most beautiful warm shades. Although, this palette is more summer spring themed, I have been enjoying it since I got my hands on this in November (getting my hands on it was a herculean task since Zoeva is not readily available where I live!). You can technically order it off the Zoeva website but the international shipping rates are a bit steep :(.

Zoeva is a German brand best known for their gorgeous brushes. I had my eyes on this palette ever since it released and finally snagged it during a trip! The palette is very reasonable priced at around 17 Euros and has a very sleek cardboard packaging. The palette looks gorgeous even on the outside!!

Once you open this up, your eyes will sparkle seeing 10 lovely shades in nice large pans :D. The palette does not have a mirror though.

I personally would categorize the 10 shades into 3 mattes, 3 foil like intense shades, 2 satin shades and 2 glitter shadow. Overall, all of them have very good pigmentation and although not soft and crumbly to touch like the Lorac pro shadows, they apply very smooth and creamy on the eyelids. This palette is perfect for those who find it hard to be extra gentle with their shadows when dipping in their brush 😀

Now for some close ups and swatches! I have swatched all the shades using a brush and the swatches you see are obtained by swiping the brush just once! These shadows are very nicely pigmented and can be easily build up depending on your liking.

The first four shades: Bitter Start, Sweet End and below we have Pure Ganache and Substitute for Love

Substitute for Love has very small glitter bits in it but it does not show up on the skin. It can easily function as a matte crease shade. Pure Ganache is a real beauty! It has a foiled eyeshadow effect on the eyes!

The remaining shadows which are on the darker end of spectrum are equally lovely!

Top Row: Warm Notes, Subtle Blend, Beans are White. Bottom Row: Freshly Toasted, Infusion, Delicate Acidity

Warm notes is one of my favorite shades in this palette! This too has a foiled finish on the lids. Beans are white is a bit disappointing as it is not very easy to blend unlike the rest of the shadows. I am also not a fan of infusion since the glitter tends to fall out. Delicate acidity is a pretty duo chrome shade with a satin finish.

I have worn these eyeshadows with a primer (I always use one) and they last well over 8 hours with no creasing . I did however notice that Ganache tends to fade a bit after 8 hours of wear on my lids. The other shades don’t pose this problem!

If your on the hunt for a nice warm toned eyeshadow palette I recommend you pick this one !! It also has the added bonus of being paraben free, mineral oil free with no fragrence and no phthalates 🙂

Have you tried any of the Zoeva Palettes? What do you think of them?

Until next time…ciao!!
