It has been a while since I did a foto friday post! Today I am excited to share with you the outcome of a a recent egg-xperiment in the kitchen! I tried out Shakshuka which is basically an easy egg based dish from Israel/Tunisia. It looks yummy, tastes divine and it has the honor of entering in my comfort food list 🙂
I can eat this happily for breakfast/lunch/dinner any day with a slice of Challah bread!
I hope everyone has been having a great summer! I am trying to make the most of what is left of summer 🙂 2 weeks back I visited southern Maine and had an awesome time at the beaches there. For some reason I love lighthouses! We visited the Cape Neddick Lighthouse in York. It was a really nice sunny day and I was able to capture a lovely picture of this lighthouse !
Where all did you guys chill out this summer? Enjoy the rest of the summer everyone!!
Summer and spring is gardening time ! However, I don’t have the patience nor skills required to grow beautiful flowers in my yard. Last year I did get some confidence in gardening since I managed to grow stargazer lillies 🙂 This year I planted a packet of mixed seeds and the first flower bloomed a few days back! Unfortunately, I don’t have the seed packet with me anymore and being generally clueless about plant names, I have no idea what this lovely yellow flower is 😛
I’m all excited about my road trip this weekend to NY :). I’m meeting up with old friends who are still as awesome as they were when I first got to know them some 10 to 12 years ago!! There is also a baby shower to attend since one of them is going to have her first kid real soon !!
So, I got back today a bit early from work and have been running errands and started packing…as usual I pack way more stuff (clothes and makeup) than I need! Its just a 2 day trip and so after much debating and screening here is the makeup stuff I am taking along ! 😀 (I am so sure I won’t be using half these things but its always good to have choices!)
So how good are you guys with packing for a trip? over packing/ under packing? whats your thing?
So last weekend I was at the beach which is 40 minutes away from where I stay ..and on a leisurely stroll along the beach me and Le Husband found white roses floating around the coastline and a few of them had washed ashore. It was romantic…it was close to sunset, we were on the beach, I was with the love of my life and I had roses strewn around 😀
Here is hoping all you guys find some small pleasant surprises like this during your weekend getaways/summer vacations!
Its friday! the best day of the week! So today’s foto friday picture is one I clicked when I was out jogging at the park nearby. I was happy to see my good friend Mr.Swan is back 😀 Yup I really call him (I am assuming its a male) a friend and call him Mr. Swan. Seeing him swim about on the river near the jogging track is the highlight of my Jog anyday!
As you can see spring is a work in progress here.. 🙂
I am so happy that the week has come to an end and the weekend starts tomorrow 🙂 Today as I was getting ready, I was digging through some old eyeshadows and came across this eyeshadow duo I got from Elizabeth Arden a while ago (So much for me throwing away old cosmetics huh? considering I wrote a post on that last week 😛 ) I really like the packaging and thought I’d post a pic of it for the foto friday post !!
In case your curious, this is an eyeshadow duo called autumn leaves which consists of a peachy looking nude shade and a chocolate brown shade..both of them matte 🙂
Hit the like button if you agree with what Elizabeth Arden says here ! 🙂
